High School Award Criteria

Workshop
  • Applicant's permanent address must be in Cook, Will or DuPage County, Illinois.

​

  • Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student in a public, private or charter school in Cook, Will or DuPage County, Illinois.

​

  • Applicant must have applied to or been accepted to a four (4) year college or university.

​

  • Applicant must possess an overall 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 grading scale, or an overall 4.5 grade point average on a 5.0 grading scale.

​

  • Applicant must be participating in at least one (1) extracurricular civic, social, or community activity.

​

High School Application Requirements

In addition to completing the personal information requested and meeting the above high school applicant criteria, an applicant must complete the two (2) essay questions in the application and upload the following documents for an application to be considered completed.

Upload between October 1 and December 31, 2024

​​

  • Two (2) letters of recommendation from high school instructors or an officer of an extracurricular activity highlighting activities, character and potential.

​

  • A copy of your high school grades. (Official transcript due by Sunday, January 12, 2025)

​

  • Proof of application to or acceptance to a four (4) year college or university.

​

  • A color photo.

​

  • Your application will not be considered complete without an official high school transcript.

College Scholarship Criteria

College Friends
  • Applicant's must have a permanent home address in Cook, Will or DuPage County, Illinois. 

​

  • Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student and have completed a minimum of two (2) consecutive semesters or quarters of study at an accredited four (4) year college or university.

​

  • Applicant must be pursuing a course of study in one of the following majors: architecture, business, computer science, communications, education, engineering, health, information technology, law or medicine.

​

  • Applicant must have an overall 3.2 GPA on a 4.0 grading scale, or a 4.2 GPA on a 5.0 grading scale.

​

  • Applicant must be participating in at least one (1) extracurricular civic, social, or community activity.

​

College Application Requirements

 

In addition to completing the personal information requested and meeting the above college applicant criteria, a college applicant must complete the two (2) essay questions in the application and upload the following documents in order for their application to be considered complete.

​

  • Two (2) letters of recommendation from a department Dean, a college instructor or an officer of an extracurricular activity highlighting activities, character and potential.

​

  • An official transcript. A copy of grades is not acceptable!

​

  • A color photo.

​
